The River Walk is now an incredible haven in the center of the bustling city. It’s just a story below street level which keeps down the noise from the street. The landscaping is lush and beautiful. Parts of the walk are lined with restaurants, galleries and shops, but there are also secluded stretches ideal for contemplation and relaxation. It’s serviced by tour boats, a shuttle boat and even diner cruises. The River Walk is easily accessed from all over downtown and within walking distance from many San Antonio condos.

HemisFair park, located in downtown, was built to host the 1968 World’s Fair and includes the 750 foot tall Tower of Americas. The Texas Hill Country is just a short drive away, with its many recreational opportunities. The Government Canyon State Natural Area is just one of the many parks in the area that provide for plenty of hiking trails. When the summer warms up, there are places to go tubing and river rafting.
