Clearwater Beach Condos – What Is There To Do Nearby
People who are looking to buy Clearwater Beach condos sometimes will ask what kind of activities and entertainment is available in the area. I always answer that with a resounding YES!
The most obvious first answer is the beaches. The beaches themselves are wide with beautiful with white, powdery-soft sand and you can get to restaurants, stores and even a miniature golf course with just a short walk. Not only that but the sandy beach is also home of local, state and national volleyball competitions.
There is no shortage of places to eat on the beach. You can find little Italian restaurants or more upscale restaurants like the Beachcomber right on Mandalay Blvd. or you can enjoy dinner and the party atmosphere in the Palm Pavilion or you can join the crowds at Frenchy’s.
You can also wander over to Island Estates to have dinner or Sunday Brunch at the Island Way Grill which has a more interesting menu that the typical ones you see at most other restaurants. Or you can head over to the Columbia Restaurant located on Sand Key to have some Spanish and Cuban food for dinner.
Right in Clearwater Beach you’ll also find boats you can go out on either for chartered fishing trips or tours. You’ll have your choice of lunch tours, dinner tours and dancing tours or you can go on a sightseeing tour on the tugboat named ‘Little Toot’ or even go out on the pirate ship. I believe the Little Toot guarantees you’ll see dolphins on the tours or your money back.
There is some dancing and nightlife on Clearwater Beach but don’t expect it to be too wild or exciting.
When you’ve had enough sun and surf you can head out to either St. Pete or Tampa which are both a short drive from Clearwater Beach and both have a lot of concert, sports and other entertainment activites going on throughout the year. A popular place to go in Tampa is Ybor city with lots of nightclubs and Cuban restaurants and you also have shopping in the amazing International Plaza.
There’s also a lot to do when you have company in town and you want to do something more out of the ordinary. You can hop in the car and go to Epcot Center and Disney World – it’s close enough that you could go there early in the morning, spend the whole day there and still drive back that night. Or you could go somewhere closer like Busch Gardens right in the heart of Tampa. And between the two is a Hard Rock Hotel, Casino and Cafe with entertainment, slots, blackjack and poker.
Clearwater Beach condo residents have the advantage of living in a beach community that is far less crowded and hectic than areas like Miami Beach while still having access to lots of great places to eat and activities to do. It doesn’t matter whether you’re on the Clearwater Beach strip where the most action happens or on Sand Key with the upscale high-rises or in the community of Island Estates just 1/2 mile from the beach you’ll find that you have everything you want within reach.
